In Reply To What is more important, venturis or ducts? posted by JMartz on October 12, 2011 at 07:15 AM

Message My unprofessional assertion is that they are both important. The ducts allow air to be trapped and build pressure in front of the IC, and the venturis create a low pressure area behind the IC's relative to the front. So together they move air thru the IC. Without the ducts air would certainly redirect around the IC's, without the venturis, the air ducted into the IC face is less aided to move thru the IC and possibly effect efficiency in certain circumstances.

Do I have data to prove any of that? no, but I did take high school physics, and Nissan certainly had data and testing facilities and they decided to put ducts and venturis on the car when all was said and done.
